i thought thats what it was so i rev it into the grind range and made sure that my foot was all the way down and as you put it into 2nd it grinds(or sounds like a grind) the clutch dosent have to be on its way back up to do it. it does it as soon as it moves thru N just as its sliding into the 2nd gear slot it grinds even if i havent let go of the clutch yet. so incase i made that way to confusing. the clutch is on the floor and i put it into second an it will grind with the clutch still on the floor.ive left my foot on the clutch on purpose to see if it was me letting it up to soon. so i have no idea.

This is one of our mods on LS2's description. He put it into words better than I could.
That noise is your snychronizer slider keys grinding against the sleeve of the synchro housing followed by the gear blocker rings grinding next. This is caused by two things, either hydraulics are not functioning correctly and not allowing the clutch to fully engage or disengage. The other reason is that your slider keys are either very worn or one or more of them are already broken causing your sleeve to align incorrectly.

But i have no idea how much.

Its possible that its a fluid issue also, which is along the lines of what Liss87 said. You done the drill out mod or replaced the master yet?

This post was perfect timing, I just changed my gearbox fluid over to Mobil 1 synthetic, guess what, I am getting a grind between 1-2 at 4000 rpms and up. Never did it on the dino juice, By chance are you running synethic fluid in your t-56. The drill mod also may solve this issue. Could be the stupid hydrolics on these vehicles, I have only 20,000 miles on mine, so I dont think my synchronizers or keys are wore out. Any other ideas. I am going back to cheap dino fluid.

granted its a honda, but my buddy's CRX had this same exact problem, not sure of the RPM range but there was only a small area where it did it

anyways, low on fuild, filled it up and noise went away
