1998 Facelift center console in 94 TA

Hello guys, im from europe/austria so please appologize my bad spelling

i just wanted to ask that if there is any possibility to put the newer center console with the sideways opening lid and the slideable cupholder in my 94 TA?

my friend has a 99 ls1 camaro an i really love his interior it feels much tighter and made of higher quality when you touch it everything is strong and stiff

when you put hands on mine especially the center console everything feels slobby and makes noises.

did the interior quality increased with the newer models from 98 ? upwards?

can i put the described console in my TA ? my lid is all broken and the console looks terrible

maybe you guys can help me out, would be great.

Looked at 4th gen parts book, available to download in sticky threads of 4th gen section. Since 93-99 firebirds use the same dash assembly, I believe the 98 or 99 console would be a fairly easy swap. Providing it comes from a firebird and not a camaro.

If you use a console from a 2000-2002, it will still probably work, but would require more of an effort to make it work. Or using the 00-02 dash also.

4th gen section also has 94 factory service manual for download. Look in regular threads for thread titled " GM service manuals.
