Hey guys, I've found myself in quite a pickle. I swapped my custom built 95 3.4L camaro engine/ecu into a 1998 Trans Am roller that I picked up. The swap was fine, have it all wired up properly and the car will run and idle. However, when I try to hook up my ALDL cable in order to connect my laptop to tune, I get no response from the ECU. I've tried 3 different cables, and several programs and no dice. I even cut the connector out, hooked it up to power, grounds and directly to the serial data line at the pcm and I still get nothing. The car will idle, but needs to be tuned to drive it. I can't tune it, as I can't get any info from the ECU.
Does it sound like the ECU is just toast? Could it need to be wired differently?
Any help would be appreciated!
