I have a 1994 trans. I just rebuilt my lt1 this fall. Here is what ive done to it. New crank, .030 over speed pro pistons, .020 milled on the heads, hot cam, mid length headers, cold air intake, high volume high pressure oil pump and I think that's it.
I would like to install 1.6 rockers but I'm unsure exactly what I'll need. Some people say you don't need to change the springs/retainers but I think I might as well change them. Does anyone have part numbers or direct links to what I'll need to get it done? Thanks in advance.

If you are changing your cam, get matched springs. If you call a manufacture, you can give them your specs, and they will build a package that can take what you have done into account. This will prevent engine damage from mis matched parts.

Wouldn't want to put the 1.6 rockers on if you don't have the piston to valve clearance, or enough spring travel.

I see where your coming from. Unfortunately my motor is already put back together and installed in the car and running. A lot of people take the lt4 hot cam and install them in an LT1 engine like mine and it seems to be a pretty commonly known thing to pair the 1.6 rockers with that cam with no issues. My heads have been milled but not very much at all so I don't think I will have any valve to piston contact especially since the Pistons have valve reliefs on them but you never know I guess. I was hoping somebody who has done this exact cam in a LT1 would be able to tell me exactly what valve springs to use. Anyone else who would like to chime in please feel free. Thank you so much for your thoughts "funny on the inside" I very well might have to call summit or jegs and just ask them what springs would complement my cam.
