Cold Air intake

hey everyone,
I am looking to get a new cold air intake kit for my 98' 3800 firebird. But I am having trouble figuring out which one to get. I found a few kits on ebay, from Chromeintakes and also nSys Usa which are around $100. I have also found the K&N Short Ram Air intake system which seems to be the only other system that would fit my 98'. I was told that the actual CAI kits are better than the Short Ram But I cannot find anything other than the Short Ram Air or the ones on Ebay. I am currently in the process of ordering a Magnaflow catback system and I heard you need to upgrade the Air intake along with the exhaust to see a real improvement. If anyone has any feedback about the ebay intakes as well as the short ram air I would really appreciate it.

Here are the links to all the parts:
K&N: http://www.andysautosport.com/pontia...m_intakes/k_n/

Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-99...d=330375084908

Thanks alot guy,
PBendel

Have u ever had one of these? I have heard reviews that the corners of the pipes narrow inward.

I emailed the seller and they said it has everything I need in the kit for a full air intake system. It is tough to tell whether or not it is a good product because it has mixed reviews. I am kinda unsure. It's definitly the cheapest air intake out there which is good. but it could also mean it is a cheap quality too...

Well the only thing I am adding to the car will be a Magnaflow catback... Does that require more power?

oh yeah i will not be adding any of that. What do you think would sound better? I am looking to make the engine rumble a little more. Which would be better for that? a K&N short ram air or the chrome intake?
