my new v6 vert
so i just picked up a 98 v6 5speed vert, that needs mechanical work. I have an 01 auto v6 salvage title car sitting around, that i been stealing parts off of,for z28s i have, so i figured if i need to swap engines im not really worried about it. I just got the car and havent done a thing to it, im sure ill throw a battery in it and see if it starts in the next week, but just looking at the 2 cars the 3800 intake and air piping looks compltely differernt from the 98 to the 01.. but both look stock to me. does this make sense? the 98 seems to angle down and the 01 intake goes straight at the radiator. thoughts? I always thought that 96/7-02 3800s were the same. im sure ill have some Qs as i dig into this one.. hopefully it starts.
97 z28 convt, 60k mi. TF heads, 1.6 rr, rods, lifters, comp cam, msd cap rotor coil, full exhaust, Cai, Pcm for less tune , 150 nitrous, no air or egr, tb bypass 3200 stall. 410s. 12.5 spinning on slicks.ugh..
