I tested a new VSS and an old VSS with a fluke 17b+ DMM on DC volts in hertz mode and both are operating good it seems. Is there another wire coming from the PCM/speedometer to have the car shift besides the dark green/white wire? Or can I do the same DMM test in hertz on the dark green/white wire?
