It was leaking at the shaft connection and I was told the only option was to replace it. They installed a bbb rack, but now...it feels as if i have to turn the wheel more to steer the car when compared to before.
I read somewhere that the LT1 cars got a "faster" rack than the V6. However, I just checked rockauto, compared both 1997 V6 3.8l with the V8 5.7L, and all the part numbers were the same. So now I am confused! Did I end up with the one designed for V6?
