Cool Parking Brake Button

How do you fix the release button on a 4th generation F-Body, On my 1995 Trans Am the release button on the parking brake lever popped out is there an easy way to fix it or do I have to pull out the whole center counsel ?

This is not a repair that gets done very often. You can first try to get the plastic grip off to expose end of metal arm.

My guess is that either something on the release button broke, making it impossible to repair, or that metal end that holds release button in has stretched out, allowing it to spring out of handle.

Your most likely avenue of repair will be to obtain a used parking brake lever assembly and install it. Instructions to remove console & brake lever will be found in 95 service manual. Get it @ www.mediafire.com/?40mfgeoe4ctti
