My power antenna on my 98 trans am snapped off. Will those small, short stubby types low profile antenna work with the car? Will it hook up right to radio antenna? Thanks for any help

I ended up getting an aftermarket power antenna. Works great and looks like factory too.

I bought a shorter antenna for my 94 from O'Reilly auto parts. I think it was like $8. Anything over that skyscraper looking stocker

My power antenna on my 2000 TA just took a crap(stuck in the up position), so I went to the local yard and pulled an antenna bracket from a 2001 Camaro and got an 8" antenna online. I can live without the power antenna.

I have the VW Sharan Shortie Antenna (with threads modified to fit Mk4's) from Hillside Imports, and the reception is as good as with the stock Wagon antenna which is abou 3" longer than the sedan antenna.

I needed something shorter, so I could slide my rooftop carrier back further, and most of the cheaper shortie alternatives were either not flexible or had lousy reception. The Sharan antenna was more expensive ($40), but it's defniately worth it.
