I went under axel because my pumpkin is larger than normal so I didn't know how much room I would actually have. Yes, it is pretty smooth. I went ahead and went !cats and that got rid of some annoying interior resonance and you can actually hear some lope now.
All the clips I have are with it dumped and with the cats still on it, but it gives you an idea of how tame it sounds. Keep in mind the cam I'm running a 240/244 on a 114 LSA. This is why I keep telling people on here that they can go with larger cams in their LS1. Yes mine is a stroker, but you can still run some pretty large cams in a 346 w/out driveability issues.

Just for fun, compare the idle quality of that clip to this clip. This is open headers, but it would surge like crazy and die with the tune one local shop gave it. I complained several times and they told me that "it was normal" and that "sometimes I just can't tune those large cams." I lost faith in him at that point and went to another local shop and got the tune in the other vids. Besides better drivablility it picked up 26 whp and 30 lb/ft from the way the first shop had it tuned. FIND A GOOD TUNER!!!

At 3:42 and 4:52 you'll see my junker. My last run you get to see why I hate Nitto DR's, plus why my trans needs to be rebuilt. It sporadically pops out of 3rd. Thus the weak 8 sec ET on that run.

This is during a dyno day. It was a horribly humid day and it still put down 471 hp. I need to go back since it is now !cats and I put a mandrel 90* where it was previously crushed to half the diameter. It'll wait though. I want to get some better flowing heads and a larger cam this winter.
