Talking new car new member

hello I am new to the site and a new/used 1997 auto v6 firebird owner. The car was given to(free) me in non running condtion (i believe fuel pump) I want it to be a project car as i already have a few run around vehicles. I would like to do a turbo build because I know the engine responds well to boost. I have a 97 grand prix gtp with 235000 miles on it still running strong. I want to start with a complete tear down and rebuild of the engine and swap a manual trans in. upgrades include intake manifold, cam, header, exaust and internals of course. are there any suggestions and any really detailed engine rebuild how to's. Ive never rebuilt an engine but im not afraid to try and learn. I want to do it my self as i do not want to send it to a shop and miss out on learning how to do ALL my own work. I am very excited to start on this project. thank you

ps. i am about a 6 on the 1 to 10 mechanic skill level I know im capable of this with a little good advice and guidance my goal for this car is a 400 whp dependable build
