measure the distance between the rear axle mounting bracket and the shock mounting plate on the body, cut two 3'' x 3'' square steel bars and weld in to place...

I ordered these yesterday.... I may be back on to ask questions about setting these correctly. Hopefully everything goes smooth.

What are the benefits of not squating? Does it help at all with traction?

Yes, Some guys run airbags in the rear to stop the squating. You can gain as much as .3 in your 60ft time.

yes it helps specially when launching, not squating actually what it does, is to press the weight of the car to the tyres, instead of holding it down on the suspension,
squat actually makes the chasi flex more than it should, if the car absorbs the weight transfer in the suspension it actually means that you are getting traction but you could get more out of it, there is a limit right, cause to tight might turn into wheel hop if you dont have the right tyres, so yes getting airbags, good drag shocks will improve directly on your 60ft the most....
some people like having squat some dont, I really prefer the car to launch pretty streight, not squating but transfering the weight to the floor...

Squat is wasted energy going through the spring that I'd rather have go straight to the tires.

Ok, got them and they aren't adjustable. I twisted until it clicked, then nothin... twisted it more... nothing, twisted it back, nothing, when I put it out or push it in, there is no resistance change.

I suppose I should call summit?

its actually supposed to do that. just put it to the setting you want per directions and bolt them up. they will be stiff as shit. shownomercy thought the same thing and called summit, they told him something that made sense and everything is good.

I just got my summit shocks and I'm getting ready to install. What would be the best setting? Is there a big difference between firm and very firm?
