Default Vortech lt1 fuel upgrading

Bought a used kit for my 1994 trans am, will be installed over the course of the winter. Until then, I have a few needs so i don't grenade.

Size and brand injectors?
Kit didn't come with an FMU, need one obviously, any recommendations?
Walbro 255 fuel pump enough?
Should I cut the access panel for a new fuel pump?

Thank you in advance.

I am in the same boat. Bought a used Vortech without FMU or pump. Was wondering what pump Im gonna need and how to go without the FMU. Also missing the MSD box, any suggestions would be great!

do not need an fmu or msd box.

racetronix.com for your fuel pump, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator from herronperformance, bigger injectors like 42lbs or 60s like me.

The regulator agian? Not needed. But you say 42's or 60's. Hmm I thought 60's are easier on the fuel pump?

I dont know how they do shit in west virginia but I don't remember anyone tuning a car around here bitching about a regulator. I know 60s are big and I used them because I got quite a deal, 200$, I said 42s hoping you would back off a little. At least I'm still trying to help people instead of the flaming.

I don't know how they do shit in pa either. But you do not need a stupid adjustable regulator. So get off your high horse. You may be helping by telling them to get crap they don't need.

In which as i said it is not needed. Plus cranking the fuel pressure up can cause tuning problems. 60's may have been a deal. But I guess your tuner didn't tell you that you can go to big either. I ran 42's in my procharged 383. Where they were maxed out. So trust me if you don't have other mods just boosted 60's are not needed.

On top of that on a boosted car it doesn't hurt having a ignition box. To be honest it should have one. Just the boost retard built in isn't clear needed but it better to be safe than sorry.

As for hijacking your thread. I just told you that it wasn't needed. In which I have done seen you say that it was twice. Along with the stupidest thing ever was the part about bigger injectors causing less stress on the fuel system. Which is a joke.
