Default coolant sensor help

What can a bad coolant tempareture sensor cause on my car im getting bad fuel mile and bad like carbon smell if know what i mean and also car feels like doesnt have so great of performance and radiator fans come on when car is cold also

That would be one of the first places to look if the coolant fans are coming on. There isn't any SES light being thrown is there? Usually when ECT's fail they trip an SES light.

no sir and with my car does it have two coolant temp sensors i see the one right next to the thermostat or is that the only one.

What year car do you have? 3.4 or 3.8?

its 1995 camaro and a 3.4l i found the right one changed it and it help but it still when accelerate and doesnt idle very good i mean its not the worst but it doesnt want to work just right. Does anyone know how many ohms there should be at closed and then open throttle for the throttle position sensor thanks guys.
