Default what 350 can i use

I have a v6 firebird and the motor went on strike but I was told that I can put a 350 motor in without changing the wireharness/computer out but I was never told what 350 motor to use do any1 knows what motor I can do this with ?

what year firebird do you have? you can put almost any motor in to any car... i dont know about the CPU's or wiring harnesses

198?-1992= TPI
1993-1997= LT1/4
1998-2002= LS1,2,6,7.....ect...

You can't. You can swap the motor out with either an LT1 or LS1 (both 5.7L 350ci) depending on what year firebird your's is. I assume it's a 4th gen V6. You'd need complete harness, k member, PCM (computer) and a load of other stuff.

Its a 97 I know almost what's needed for lt1/4 swap but the guy told me I could go
Carb or injection if fuel inject I would have to do a complete harness/computer change if I go carb I don't have to change harness or cumputer he saids the motor came out of a truck

if u go carb ur gonna have to cut into the cowl and have a hood to clear the breather and ur gonna have to get the computer tuned im pretty sure

since urs is a 97 u need to swap in an lt1

i dont know too much about the swap mabye someone else can chime in to help.

lsx swap it you will be much happier, and it will still pull 20 mpg, instead of a slug carbed 350

I get 24mpg on the highway with my Lt1. And my car weighs almost 4500 lbs haha

Just one thing you should know, a carb'd engine in a 97 isn't going to pass emissions if that's a concern where you live.

finding a '93-95 LT1 i think would be cheaper then doing a motor swap
