Sounds like what it is i guess. I have an 86 s/b s10 i have been working on, had it almost all together and fell victim to the economy. Going to school to get ASE cert. Had a 94 T/A engine and had just fitted it in my truck but had wanted more than stock(i bought the T/A from a buddy and drove it as an automatic before i pulled it out). was about at the wiring stage when a man asked me about an engine rebuild and the cost was too much(95 vette), so i sold him my T/A engine and he gave me the old vette blockk after it was swapped. Plan to go 383, already have a muncie mutt basically, mutt being an m20 case, m22 gearset, and i believe a TH tail. Saved every last bit of the T/A For my swap, harness, rear end, etc. Now im looking too get the ball rolling again. Built many turbo hondas but too much pull from the front and time/money sourcing parts for 300hp days are done.
