new to site LT1 swap tuning
Hi everybody I'm new to this site. I just completed an Lt1 4l60e was into a 1956 chevy belair. I am using protune to calibrate everything for the car. My first question is how do I correctly remove the egr and ccp functions? I can remove it so it won't trip a check engine light, but I still see them coming on during a datamaster run. Secondly, can someone point me in the right direction for the speed scalar. The car has a 3.70 rear gear with a 27.7" diameter tire. Plus any other advice would be much appreciated.

the trick is, find the values that control when it activates, and set them to some condition that will NEVER be reached
find the constants table, set "egr enable max rpm" to 0, and both "egr enable min map" and "egr enable min rpm" to max
that way no state will ever be reached that'll try to activate EGR
also set "canister purge enable coolant temp" to max. your car would never get that hot, so it'll never try to active the canister purge
it'll still try to use canister purge in some diagnostic modes though, but it'll never be an issue for you
for the speed scaler, there's a speed calibration calculator in the tools menu, try that first

thank you for the reply. I do not have a "canister purge enable coolant temp". Also on my tools menu I do not see anything for a speedometer calibration. Would you be able to input my data and tell me what you get?

thank you guys for the responses! I am running a stock 95 camaro tune on the car. The engine is out of a 96 camaro with obdII but I am running a obdI harness and computer. The car has headers and no emissions equipment. Any recommendations I am totally new to the tuning world! any extra info would be great.

56lt, Data logging is important when doing transplants. It lets you know if everything is working correctly. I recommend TTS DatamasterEE, it's good for 20 free logs. I also recommend Freescan as it's free and is a good dashboard indicator tool for quick connections, logs and setting sensors. TunerPro RT also has free logging, there are tutorials on the web, but it's a little more complex to use for logging and analysis. I don't recommend it for a beginner on flash type PCM's.
If you can get us a log we can help analyze your setup and see how it's running.

Our site is restrictive as to the size of uploads, so your best bet would be to upload the data log to a file sharing site, then post a link to it.

I updated all the speed information with what you have given me. The problem I am having is when it downshifts from 3to2 it hits the revlimiter before it takes off. Also upshifting from 2 to 3 it hits the rev limiter before shifter. The car drives great normal bit the more TPS% you give it the more long and delayed the shifts get.
