High clutch engagement

I recently replaced my clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder my master cylinder was leaking fluid all over my floor so I figured it was shot. Changed both parts the master was a PITA with that u bolt. But after bleeding the system with the mighty vac and taking if for a test drive I notice that the clutch now engages much much higher than before like the last 2-4 inches at the top of the pedal rather than before it was about 6 inch from the floor. Is this normal??
