Question for everyone, I'm in the process of fixing some issues within my clutch, I believe I installed it wrong and it caused the pressure plate to contact the release fork and scrape it making a god awful noise, my question is to insure this doesn't happen again, the T fitting that holds the fork to the transmission (LT1 T56) does that prevent the fork from hitting the pressure plate? I assembled everything just to test and make sure the pressure plate wasn't locked up or anything and it works but the release fork hits the pressure plate.
The "T" is what the fork pivots on. For standard single disc clutches you should not have any issue with forking buzzing PP. On Twin disc clutches you sometimes need to trim a washers thickness from the base of the T
I figured, I managed to get everything reinstalled and the clutch feels pretty good, no more clunking noise either thankfully. :grin2: Turns out I may have installed the T Pivot point above the two retaining tabs on the fork causing it to be too far forward.
