Default x pipe crossover and reducers.

Ok guys i was really wanting to do a custom y set up with a flowmaster merge but since i can seem to part ways with my duals im just gonna redo them.

Ok so i have 2 questions im gonna add a x pipe crossover and found these on ebay probably just gonna weld it into my current duals. Just wondering what everyones opinions are on it i dont feel like ordering the entire kit from summit since i already have my duals.

2 1 2" 2 5" Crossover x Pipe | eBay

And since last time i made the stupid decision to weld them to the headers this time i wanna do a slip fit style connection like how a y pipe would be and was wondering if i welded these on to the end of the duals if they would work and use band clamps or if anyone has anything better lemme know.

Flanges off the headers or V bands if your baller.

You will never wanna mess with slip fit nonsense again.

Notched?

I didn't do a thing for mine, just had the collector flanges welded to my headers and X pipe.

I'm really still up in the air about it my buddy has a catback with a quiet borla mufflers tips and all for sale for about what one muffler would cost me and I honestly think a 4" cutout would flow just as good in the long run for my le2 355 build and be nice to be able to keep it quiet when I leave for work so idk I'm still up in the air.

Yup, duals will not gain you much over a cutout at all in terms of performance.

A cutout with a mellow exhaust gives you the best of both worlds.

It's not that quiet gets old or loud gets old I loved the way my duals sounded and I had no drone from the glass packs surprisingly but when I start the car at 5 in the morning to leave for work I'd rather not have to have it shaking everyone's houses ya know? Lol I've got pretty awesome neighbors that have know me since I was little and I got one complaint when I first started my new job and was letting the car warm up at 5 but that's the only one. He'll they hvent even complained about my totaled car out front sitting under a car cover being torn apart lol
