Default What are these on the underside of the LT1 intake manifold?

So I've got a spare intake I've pulled apart, cleaned up, etc. Now I'm about ready to re-assemble and had some questions about the hex screws underneath the windage tray/oil seperator/whatever it's called.

The middle one seems to go directly into the intake. The 4 in the corners butt up against two ~1/4" holes underneath (EGR? Not sure).. Question is, what exactly are these for, are there torque specs, and for the ones in the corner are they an adjustment screw or do they just need to be torqued down?

I'd use thread sealant.

I definately learned something here, I always thought those holes were
put there for the purpose of having a port or opening so that some sort
of machining operation could be performed. But at least I know to
remove those plugs and clean the idle ports next time I remove the manifold. ed
