aftermarket MAF
What does upgrading the MAF actually do for the engine? I have a 95 T/A with K&N CAI and ive read a lot of posts saying upgrading the MAF is a basic upgrade for the intake. Also, where can I find one? Just never really heard of upgrading a MAF for performance.

Upgrading to a bigger throttle body will help if mods are made to car to support it, but I've never heard of upgrading the maf. I've heard of de screening the maf, but that mod is of dubious value.

If you're refering to the Granitelli MAF.....save your money; it's a POS!!!
When the B-body guys upgrade our MAFs, we upgrade to the F-body MAF. The aftermarket MAFs have 'funky' ( very scientific, eh ) calibration tables.....they're all a bear to tune.
Stick with what you got cause it ain't holdin' ya back .

I have a ported end piece with stock MAF sensor combo for sale.
LT1 MAF with Ported Ends
Would be about the only thing, if that, I would do with the MAF. It came with the car when I got it.
