no start

96 trans am and the car was starting and running and then i took the heads off to port and polish them and now the car cranks but wont start and everything is hook up. Any idea on what it could be that is cause it not to start?

Need to be more specific. Is it cranking? What have you checked for so far?

Check the basics, fuel, spark, and compression. I'd start with spark since you just had everything unhooked. You may have forgotten to plug something back in.

Check all your grounds and connections too. Did you take the timing cover off for a cam or anything? or just the heads
