Standard organic oil. Like Castrol GTX.
If you decide to pop for specific break-in oil (which you probably don't need with a roller cam) let me know as I have 5 qts of Comp's stuff left over.

I would use a conventional fossil oil for the first 500 miles, only cause let the rings seat. And then use Amsoil with a filter designed for synthetic oil; Mobil 1 makes a good filter and there is WIX and NAPA.
My opinion and my opinion only.

I'm with WildBilly. I prefer Castrol GTX. Run a petroleum oil for the first 500 miles and then switch to synthetic if you want.
As was stated, with a roller cam, it's not as critical as a flat tappet. You're mainly breaking in rings, and as long as a good plateau finish was put on the cylinder walls, a good set of moly rings will seat pretty much right away.

Filled it up with 6qts of castrol, threw the drill on it, and got some interesting bubble noises.
Guess I gotta get a guage on it.
