Default Lt1 stumble

I put a lt1 in a 1971 Chevy C-10 with a 700r4 tranny. Had the vats, egr, air pump removed. I have a new opti. My problem I'm having is it starts right up and revs fine in park, but when you put it in gear and hit the gas it falls on its face until engine temp hits about 150 The guy that programmed the PCM said with his programming an led will work I hooked it up and it has a light. I hooked up my blue point scan tool which is obd1/2 reader and lt said it was read and then said there was no code. I really don't want to just start throwing parts and my friend and I are at a loss. I don't have a cable to hook up datamaster. Just thought I'd see if someone has an idea why it's dong this.
