Default Knock sensor tuned out. what do you think?

i tuned my knock sensor out after i was having problems with the o2's and a loss of power. I always run 91 or better. what do you guys think? I'm running a cc306 and bolt ons.

If you can listen for knock better than that sensor and immediately compensate to keep spark knock from damaging your engine, then you have no worries.

lets just say it was done to rule out the power loss issue, which it did not make a difference. but thanks for being a polite asshole about it.

Good idea. Tuning out knock sensors usually fixes problems with O2 sensors.

The only power loss you would see from a KS would be if you were picking up knock false or not and it was retarding your timing. You should have been able to see that with a datalog...

I've had it back on, the question was to see what others were doing. and as i see no one has theirs tuned out. But i have seen one gets alot of feedback on a special question. as in special olympics...

I've gone 25 years with out a knock sensor as this is my first F.I. car. And never a problem other than some hammered rods. I: i see from this question, am special...... special ed. lol.

thanks guys, for all your feedback.

You have not heard the last from me. lol
