thanks for the offer on the one you got but im pretty much set on the lm1 atm...and for noise i dont think they really car around here..i kno a bunch of ppl who had extremely loud pipes with no issues..and even if the lm1 is way to loud i can always swap it for a lm2 for 80 bucks

If you can find one, a SLP 2OTL is the best sounding cat back for a LT1. That is what I have but mine is adjustable like the Borla. Actually is both spliced into one. Borla intermediate and over the axle pipe going into the SLP muffler and tail pipes. Passenger side is a SLP dual exhaust tip. Mine looks just like a quad tip SLP from behind. Can be as loud or as quiet as I want.

My parents basically did the same thing as mine to their 2OTL exhaust but had Denny at Mufflex make up the adjustable part. Same effect for less money.

I've had the Dynomax ultraflow on my 350 TPI and again on my LT1, I love them. Nice agressive sound when getting up in the rpm's but quite at normal driving.

Agreed I like dynomax not many people have them. I had the ultra welded straight through in three inch and dumped and liked it. Very deep and loud when I romped on it. But I also had the dynomax 3" bullets (what I have now) and I like it not to loud for a canned car at idle but completely screams at wot

Well, I'm glad someone made this post! I think now i'm pretty positive i'll go with the LM1. I'm one of those obnoxious noise makers. I've got a flowmaster on it now, sounds decent. Sounds much better on my Chevelle though. I'm surprised to find that flowmaster isn't that popular of a muffler though.

If it is loud on my 305 TBI, then it will most certainly be loud on an LT1. The sound I get is not so much of a rasp or cackle, but a very throaty, LOUD tone. This is with a 3" I/O high flow cat. Loudmouth 1 pride!

I got the magnaflow 12267 welded into my stock LT1 exhaust. it gives it a nice sound but not loud and obnoxious. Here is a vid of it. I still have my stock cat (95s had one), exhaust manifolds and pipes.

If i didnt have my car apart right now i would take a video for you,IMO i would pick the aero chamber or the LM1,it would depend on how the cops are in your area.LM1 would be too loud where i used to live, at least with my hooker setup i can shift real low to keep the sound down when i need to.LM1 is loud no matter how you shift. Its all on personal preference, i would try and listen to a bunch of clips then decide what you like.

is the lm1 really that loud as all of you are saying? noise is not an issue..the car already stand out enougth so the exhaust wont make it anymore ..exp where i live bc there is no1 in the area that has the same car as mine
