Default bad starter?

hey guys I think my starter is gone or something else has gone bad. Anyways when I was hooking up my battery as soon as the negative terminal hits the battery the car trys to start. We are thinking that the solenoid in the starter is bad. What do you guys think?

I think you first need to check your starter wiring.

Sounds like something is stuck in the starter, like the solenoid.
