Question What's the best cam for a stock internal 94 LT1?

I am also going to get some 1.6rr's as well as new valve springs&push rods too!

comp cam 07-500-8 is what i was told for a stocker

I should re-word my post. The 503 is the biggest cam thats very friendly on a stock bottom end & stock heads.

Guideplates, locks/retainers(if u want), and yes, the timing set is a good idea.

I think Laux put down 330 with the hotcam. Dunno if the 503 is gonna be better than that or not.

does anyone know off hand specs for the 503... i have a 500 and want a bigger cam cuz i'm built to handle power then this pansy ass cam was put in. don't get me wrong my car really gives er but i want a meaner idle. (i bought car with full engine rebuild)

o and i was readin up on my cam and it says for 1000-5000 rpm and my engine apparently is good for 6500

Stock bottom end isn't "good" at 6500RPM, but it can do it on occasion. It's more happy at around 6200 and below.

i don't have a stock bottom end. i wouldn't be revving like that if i did.
