Hello Everyone,

Per the latest announcements we will be resetting everyone’s passwords. Shortly you should be receiving an email directing you how to change your password. It will look like this:

Quote:
Quote:
Subject: Your new password for *site name*
Dear *username*,

Your password has been reset by an administrator. Your new details are as follows:

Username: *username*

Password: *Randomly generated temp password*

To change your password, please visit this page: *link to password reset edit page from USERCP*

If you suspect this email is a scam, you can confirm the legitimacy of this email by manually navigate to the forum URL yourself and use your new password to log in.

All the best,

Site Name

As you can see it will give you a randomly generated temporary password, as well as telling you where you need to go to updated it accordingly.

If you do not receive this email please go to the contact us page and select Other, and type in Security Password Update Issues

We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Still want to know if you will be changing my moderator user name and password also? My mod user & password are different than my regular user name & password.

The mod credentials are needed to do things like ban certain users, etc.

Try logging in, I'm sure its different. I just had to reset mine. The new password requirements are a bit excessive.

Same exact setup / change I have seen on 2 other forums I am active on this week.

Must be an upgrade in security of the system they all use.

I can not access my old account because I can not get into my email. Is there any way I can access my old account with my new email address?

All passwords will be changed. No changes will be made to your email, username, or any other information. The system will force change your password, and notify you by email with a new one. You will then be required to log in and change your password under a new criteria.

Thanks,
- JB

You can contact the admin team, or use the Contact Us at the bottom of the page to confirm your information on the other account, and we can change the email address.

Thanks,
