hey guy, thanks again for putting up with all my questions, now since im thinking about a cam, i said to my self why not convert to an electric water pump, i heard it can free up some hp, and when they go bad they don't leak on the opti, my question is are they hard to wire up? can you have them key on operation? any input is appreciated, pics would be great, thanks again guys :LS1LT1flag:

What can a bad coolant tempareture sensor cause on my car im getting bad fuel mile and bad like carbon smell if know what i mean and also car feels like doesnt have so great of performance and radiator fans come on when car is cold also

so I'm finally getting to the assembly process with my motor (yey) and I just did a quick check on a few of my rings to see how much filing has to be done and all looks good on 1st and 2nd rings only got to do some fine tuning but the oil support rings they say .015 minimum but no max and if I remember correct I used the biggest feeler gage and the two smallest ones together which is about .035+another .002 cant recall the numbers exactly so is .037 Too big?

also I plan on putting some spray to it and the rings have 3 diff gap recommendations one for NA one for up to 150 shot and one for 150+ I wont be spraying all that often cause I think I will end up having to run "race gas" for it do to REALLY high dynamic compression but the motor will handle a 150+shot as long as I can get a tune that will work for it...
so my question is since it will see spray very rarely should I go with the NA rec or should I go the 150+ or kinda meet in the middle?

So its just one thing after another with this car lately. I went to the track tonight. On my very first run I nailed it.....the rpm's flew up until it bounced of the rev limiter. After that the car stalled, and now it won't start. I had it towed to my house (which cost me $200 :mad:), and i checked a few things. It turns over fine, but just won't fire up. My fuel pump is audible when the ignition is on, but I am not getting spark off of my ignition coil. So, is there some sort of "computer kill switch" on the ignition if you hit the rev limiter?

What is the best after market shifter I can use in my 94 z a4 I have a b&m rachet mega shifter I was thinking of putting in but its made for a 700r4 I'm wondering if it would work before I waste my time

so yesterday i went to the track to have my ga tuned. we get there and meet mark from mpracing. he hooks up the tuner and sees that i have a misfire, so he says he cant tune it. whatever, not his fault, i shouldve told him. so there was like 15 cars there, they let us move the number from my car to the trans am. go to make my first run in the bird. ive never raced a rwd with that much torque, so i didnt warm up the tires. as soon as the green light drops, i hit the gas. ass end kicks out so i let off the gas. as soon as it grabs, i hit the gas again and i hear something pop, so i baby it down the rest of the way. on the way back to the time booth, i notice the cars not shifting. at this point im a little freaked out. drive it around the parking lot and its still not shifting, so i tell my friend and my gf who went with me that were leaving. as were leaving the track, i put it in one, everthing is fine, bump it up into two, and it just revs. basically second gear and od are gone. time for a new, built 4l60. instead of paying it off in the spring, itll be getting a new trans

So me and my friend Mikey started watching some youtube vids of ricers getting smoked by V8 cars. We got all pumped and hopped in my car and started driving around seeing who was willing to lose their self esteem for the night. We drove for a bit, didnt see anything at all. Then we got Wendy's and 2 went by...Then we drove some more. And saw nothing at all...Until we spotted some Nissan 354634zx blah blah blah...rims, fart can, ragged body kit. We pull in the parking lot waiting for the driver to come out to see if they were interested. Me and my friend we're going to wait in my car til they came out but we both had to take a piss so we ended up going in to go to the bathroom. Walking up to the door saw 2 guys in their mid twenties hitting on some high school girls. As we walked in they mocked our long hair to show off. They kept being loud assh*les acting like complete bros like the typical set of overconfident douche bags... So we decided to get a drink and sit across the room debating if we were just going to beat the shit out of them or let the cars settle it. Then one of the girls came over and sat with us. Turns out she recognized Mikey from his band. Then the BEST thing happened. All of the girls they were showing off for came over and sat with me and my friend (they were like 18 and we are 19 just so you dont think were pedos). The bros went silent as we all started chatting it up. Turns out they were trying to get them to come back to their apartment to "hang out". With no one to show off for they walked defeated to their rice burner and drove away. We killed their night without even racing them. When we all went to leave all the girls wanted to sit in my car and hear it rev up and hear my subs. Numbers were exchanged. Overall a successful night. I can only wonder what the two douches in the ricer burner were saying after they left :rolleyes:

I've looked and read as much as i can out out there about the 05/06 being better gtos than the initial 04.
Unfortunately my wallet and heart can only bear the burden of an 04(trust me on this!) so what i want to know is how can i make up for the 50 extra ponies i'd be short so that i dont feel like i've got my tail between my legs each time an Ls2 pulls next to me?

Soooo I was on my way home when this big ass ford cuts me off well I won..at a cost..The damn tranny mount broke again!!!! I heard bad things about the polyurathane mount, that is vibrates bad. What should I do? I just replaced this damn thing what 3-4 weeks ago?! Please help..

i am trying to all finishing touches on my new motor and ive been looking around to get the proper idle i have a hotcam in it and i know that the idle tps is .6 volts witch i have it on. i have it idling at 500rpm for now when it warms up. i was just wondering if that idle is ok.

How many people actually experience problems with the front o2's not switching fast enough from a toold cold of exhaust gas ie p133 and p153 when just using extensions?

1. Never had any issues

2. Codes went away after new sensors installed

3. codes still havent gone away even wiith new sensors

ok so i start my car and it runs about 500rpm's
when i hit the gas it stumbles like it out of fuel
and when i rev it to try and clear it out it stop's at
3,000rpm like it's hitting the rev limiter....

Everyone posts that FAST is the best TB, but...how bad can a BBK or Nick Williams be??? Secondly, why are the Holley's so expensive?

I have a v6 firebird and the motor went on strike but I was told that I can put a 350 motor in without changing the wireharness/computer out but I was never told what 350 motor to use do any1 knows what motor I can do this with ?
