Well this is in regards to my LTFT problem.
I was leading a cruise this morning and after giving it a little harty finally the problem was exasperated. The car would rev at 2000rpm when I put the clutch in and would stay there until I came to a complete stop and then would slowly come down to 1000.
I am almost positive that I have a leak somewhere on bank 2 at the intake manifold. One of the other guys said the exact same thing happened to him and that was the cause. That combined with all the advise I have got from you guys so far points to that. (eliminating the injectors and exhaust)
I talked with someone who said the way to find the leak is to take some Quick start (ether) and spray it around that side of the intake with the car idleing and when the engine starts to rev up you have found your (my) leak.
Since the stuff is so flammable I am going to wait until the car cools off before I try it. I don't want a charedbroiled LTnone. I am a little hesitent.
Sound like a familiar problem?
Sound like a reasonable solution?
I am picking up the ported intake tomorrow so I am not even sure if it is worth testing as I might just put the new one on and then see.
Any advise/ experience would be appreciated.
Thanks
