im pretty sure that the fuel rail is the same, the oil pan is prolly different, but other than that, the exhaust manifolds might be different,
i would ask the local dealer ship for diagrams of both engines, look at the difference

I think the pans are the same, but double check. I do know the Vettes had two knock sensors rather than just one...but that shouldn't be an issue, just replace the driver's side one with a plug. Manifolds will need to be swapped for headers or f-body manifolds...other than that I do know all the accessory bracketry is different and I don't think the Vette packaging will fit into an F-body.

Exhaust Manifolds,Fuel Rails,Accessory drive, oil pan and the air intake.

First the exhaust manifolds are different and will not work, headers would be a good swap at this point.

Fuel Rails have the quick connects on the passenger side on a Vette, the F Car is on the drivers side.

Accessory Drive, the alternator is on the upper passenger side on an F Car,its on the lower drivers side on a Vette, the front of the passenger side valve cover is notched on an F Car so the alt will fit.

The K member is different therefore a different oil pan.

Thats why the 96 LT4 is not a straight swap into an F Car and required some engineering at SLP for the few that were done.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH NOT TO SOUND STUPID BUT WHAT DO YOU MEAN BUY Accessory drive

accessory drive- alternator, power steering, A/C compressor. basically the belt system on the front of your engine

When you pull the oil pan, you'll see something very very few f-body LT1's had.

4 bolt mains. You're lucky you found that motor.

more bolts to hold your crankshaft in place (in a nutshell)

4 bolt mains:

if you look at the last three main caps on the left, you see they each have 4 bolts holding them in, if it were a 2 bolt main block, there would only be 2 bolts holding the caps on

basically you get 6 more bolts to hold that crank in place

I installed a Corvette motor in my 94 Formula and for the most part everyone is right. The exhaust manifolds are different. You need to change the motor mounts. The fuel rail is different but intake manifold is the same. If you can reuse the old lt1's rail or you can find one pretty cheap on ebay. The coolant temp sensor for the heads is also on the other side and you will need a 5/16's block plug socket to swap that to the other side (had to meet the snap on truck for that socket). The knock sensor from the drive side needs to be taken out cause of the motor mount clearance issues. The accersory bracket is on the wrong side and won't fit like that. Also the coolant line to the rear of the engine is in a different location you will need to run a hose to the radiator for it. Also the oil pressure sending unit is different and had clearance issues for me. So I swapped it for my old one which is right behind the intake manifold. I am sure there is more I am forgetting but thats about it. Also the one person suggesting to get headers is very correct, Its much easier to do it while your swapping engines.
