On a Chevy 350 with a compression ratio of 9.5:1, do you need to drop the compression to run a 100 shot of nitrous?

Nope. Just pull some timing.

compression and n2o go good together,i will say this though,if you have a 9:1 engine and use a 150 shot and the same set up in a motor with 12:1 you will get more to gain with the 9:1.(not ET,just gain) compression makes more efficientcy thats why you will see some guys out there running a 300 shot on a car that runs 10:30s N/A but only runs 9:20s on that 300shot that motor is more efficient cause it needed more n2o to run faster.just like our stock LT1s make more gain with say a 150 shot average on a stock Lt1 running 14.0 N/A should run 12.20-12.50 thats 1.50 gain min.
