I bought a used QTP exhaust cutout from someone on another board. Last night I was going to plug it up to make sure it worked. I grounded the switch, checked the fuse and connected everything to the power. It didn't open.. I tried it a couple times playing with wire with no luck...

I got to thinking this morning...does the actual cutout have to be grounded? I didn't ground the cutout just the switch...if not any suggestions??:coffee:

I wouldn't think so, but it would be worth trying before assuming it is dead. I have a DMH one I am going to pull off the car this weekend to sell...if anybody's interested.

Why are you selling it Chris?

Cause I don't drive the car a lot anymore, and I haven't been to the track in almost 2 yrs. Its just an unecessary toy. I'm putting the cash toward an HDTV purchase this summer :D

What else are you taking off the car...

At the moment, I'm not taking anything else off the car, but if I do I'll post items for sale.

Well, the 9" is coming out next weekend, but it is already sold with the buyer delivering his 10 bolt as a replacement. That cash is going into redoing my daughter's bedroom & bath.

Sorry for the total thread hijack. :D

What are you doing to your car  might as well just sell it :(

Why might I as well sell it? Why do I need a Ferd 9" rear when the car doesn't see the track anymore?

Why does it need a V8 engine...you should swap it for someone's V6. :P

Okay, well as we all try and get over how much Chris has utterly disappointed, and ashamed the community in his demodding rampage....:dontknow: ;)

Back to the original topic.

Have you put a voltmeter on it?

...I was enjoying the second conversation...I was waiting to see if Chris was demoding the motor...LE2's sound nice..:duh:

Anyway..no not yet...I wasn't getting any spark we rubbing the power wire against the battery. The circuit wasn't complete for some reason...maybe faulting wiring or bad ground...

Anything that would cost me money to remove isn't coming off. It would cost me more than I'd make to find a set of stock heads and swap it all out.

I'll trade you my Spec 3 for your street twin

Spec 3 + flywheel + cash would get it. I hate the ST for street driving.
