Near MI im after preferrably a LS1 or a modded LT1. Leather, T tops and 6 speed preffered but definately open. Preferrably a TA but will consider a Z as well. I have cash burning a hole and am in a heated search for a summer car!!

U may find an LT or possibly a 98-99 LS1, but IMO, I would hold off for a 2000-2002 LS1. Sounds like an LT would better suit your financial target, but keep lookin', as you never know.

Not seen very many LT Firehawks anywhere near that price range, but advise you check the "For Sale" section under FAOA and not always just Firehawk, but mostly. If you like them, I would recommend a WS6 or SS if you can swing it!

Yea thats what im hoping for, a 98 LS1 with around 100k, thats right around blue book value even though going by the prices im seeing it seems low. I see a few LS1 Z28's on autotrader with around 80k for 7k but Im leaning towards a TA which for some reason are much more expensive at the moment!

Only reason I say 2001+ is:

(a) LS6 intake
(b) NO dreaded OPTI
(c) NO EGR

PLUS read this: (GOOD DECISION-MAKING INFO)

Yes, the T/A does run slightly more than the Camaro.....even when NEW
So, I assume the bluebook will be higher. (Doesn't mean they are worth more IHMO)
