Will the Bose CD player hook up to the standard wiring harness without any modifications?

If it was offered by the factory as an option, it's possible. If not, no way. Most aftermarket upgrades in the audio realm require adapter harnesses, or sufficient wiring knowledge to splice into the factory harness. Most chain retailers, like Circuit City or Best Buy have the adapter harnesses and use them for their installs.
