hey all, a quick help please...
my car a 1994 Z28 stock everything with 68K miles on it, it's been running all fine except a little shudder/hesitation between 1700/2000 rpm range, but always starts from the first click.
today in the morning i start the car everything is fine, i wait for 2 min. to warm then start to move, i just put on Drive and move for half a meter and it shuts down... i freaked out cause it's the first time ever, i try to start again, the engine revolves but it just wont kick in?!?!?! it's just like as if there's no Gas in the car, i try several times with break time but nothin and there's a gas smell maybe cause i press the gas too much, it just wont start, what could it be?
Fuel pump gone bad, or the OPTI

You need to do some troubleshooting first. It could be one of a dozen or more things. You need to know if you have fuel and spark first before you do anything.

spark plug/wire are new, and yes i have fuel.... it's so weird i tried it again before 15 min. and it's still the same?!!! exactly as if there's no fuel? WTF

I'm saying you need to confirm you are getting fuel into the cylinders, and confirm you are getting spark at the spark plug.
It needs three things to start: Air, fuel, and spark. Remove any of those, or significantly alter the spark timing, and it won't start.

well, the problem i can't get enough time as it's parked at the parkin place where i work, the last thing i did was cleaning the MAF and my air elbow has a bad rip in it?! could it cause such a problem..

Disconnect your MAF and try to start it again.

Another ingredient for the car to start is compression, one more being spark at the correct time. We need a little more info to help you troubleshoot this.
One question - Did she just quit running - no noises, clunks or backfire of any kind?

everything was fine, but for the past 3 weeks it had a hesitation and little jerking between 1700-2000 rpm, i thought it's because the rip in the air elbow, or a dirty MAF, i cleaned the maf and everything is fine for 1 day, after that i finished duty and went to the car, start and everything fine "no check engine light or anything", i keep it to warm up for 3 min. then put on Drive, as soon as i drive it it just stopped.. after that it's the same, nothing, just as if there's no gas reaching the engine..

Are you getting spark?

Maybe a weak alternator. I had a celica do that the other day at work. It would start but when it went into gear bam itd die

I would check for spark next.

you should try your spark next thing, the alternator is a possibility, were you very careful cleaning the MAF? thats a sensitive area, check for any fluid leaks even small ones, i had a 94 ran fine and the thermostat housing was just barely dripping for a few hours, shorted out the opti
