To all that are interested,

"Invasion" was started last year between some guys from different boards (mostly MW members) as a caravan down to G10 held in Atlanta. This year we are wanting to do the same but with more participation. Last year was a little dissapointing (first year we tried it) but for those that rode down together we all had a blast. This year we want more to join us for a bigger convoy/cruise to Atlanta.

What is the Invasion?:

Like I said, it's a 2 day convoy/cruise to G11 held in Atlanta and is for anyone interested in joining. It's sorta like a mini power tour with some stops in bigger cities to have members meet and join in.

Where does the Invasion go through?:

The northern most crowd starts it off in Chicago on the Wednesday morning before G11. The first stop is in Indianapolis for meeting up with other members and breakfast. Afterwards we head to Louisville where we stay the night. Thursday morning we head out to Bowling Green for the next stop at the Corvette Museum. From there we run through Nashville for a bite to eat and some relaxation followed by a gas stop in Chattanooga, then it's an easy stretch to the Marriott Thursday night.

We stop at the bigger cities for an easier location for members to meet up at.

You might ask what's the time's and locations for meeting up? Well that's being worked on as I type. We will keep everyone updated with times and spots once we get an idea of how many are interested. Last year we never had any problems meeting up with anyone. We made a phone list available for everyone just in case someone was running late.

Right now we just want to get a rough estimate on how many guys/gals would be interested in joining at this time especially the ones that will be spending the night over in Louisville. We need to know how much parking is needed along with how much everyone is willing to spend on a room. Right now we have found a hotel that is about $60 a night that's about 4 miles away from downtown. One person helping out has stayed in it and said it was great.


So post up if you're interested in this. We need to get a head count by the end of this month to hold some rooms in Louisville. It will be up to you guys to call and make the reservations. But I'll get into that a little bit later.

If anyone has any questions, please ask. I'll try and do my best to answer them.

I'm sure it was...I just didn't know who it was. That's why I said MW members b/c I know Brian was involved with it last year. Since nobody had brought the idea up this year, I went ahead with it. Hope whoever doesn't mind. I just hope we have more this year to participate.

Got any links to these are is it all just by word? I'd like to know what their plans are for so us (chicago/Indianapolis/Louisville) can try and get there around the same time.

So far we haven't got too many interests for the Northern guys but maybe it's a little too far away to get people involved.

OK a little info on G11 .. this years dates are May25,26 and 27th.... as for the cruise who is leaving from the Chicago area ? Indy ? I do know we are planning on leaving here Thursday morning to be in Nashville by lunch .. hopefully we(West TN Fbody and ARK fbodies i.e. critter n company) can all meet up in Nashville and head down together .... is anyone interested in this cruise this yr ?

I know the Chicago guys are leaving Wednesday morning and meeting up with the Indy guys around 10-11. We head out to Loiusville after that and we'll be spending the night there. We left around 9-10 last year Thursday morning and then stopped in at Bowling green for lunch and the corvette musuem. I guess we can skip that this year to meet up with you guys in Nashville. Just need to get a rought estimate time wise when you guys will be going through there.

Sorry for the late reply, it's hard to get access sometimes when your 5k miles away from home and trying to plan this. My counterpart (Brian) isn't doing a good job helping me out either. lol

If it weren't for you guys giving things up like the gathering, none of us would have the opportunities to burn up the ozone (sorry grandkids, grandpa sucks) and sit in the parking lot in Atlanta and eat oreos and tell ghost stories (nothing more then that happens.... ever :rolleyes:) attend things like this.

Well things have changed for me since i got hit head on in the SS. Glad I have &^%%^#$@# insurance....Anyway i've almost recovered from the wreck and getting the Ramair ready to go. I just need to know the exit # location and the time to meet. At least i'll be able to bring one of the cars down.......It looks like i'll be the only WTFBA guy coming. Well at least i'll have my video camera ready for all of the fun stuff.

Hey Jake Dos! (and TOT) i finally got the GMMG video up on my website. Check it out and see why your car will never be the same.....;) No really though, next year i'll bring my SS and the wife can drive the Ramair and we can all goto GMMG and shoot our own burnout videos. I know there's more videos floating around of the GMMG burnouts but i can't seem to find them. Well as always guys enjoy the videos and have a good laugh at me driving someone else's car......TOT- did you ever get your burnout video? I found the pic of you and your better half but i'm trying to touch it up. Too dark. And i don't think any software i have can make you look any prettier but i'll try. I was also at the power tour and saw the Vert again and took a few more pics and alot more and video of some sick rides. As soon as i get done editing them i'll post it all for you guys. Should have worn sunscreen.....
