Will it work? I want to get a true dual exhaust put on. Has anyone ever done it? If you have do you have any pics that i could see?

I have duels on my 96. So yes i know it can be done. I think there is a picture of them hanging in my gallery. But mine are dumped before the axle. I have an x pipe just after the tranny cross member.

i would really like to see how you had it done. Sounds just like what i was thinking of doing. i don't really mind the exhaust not making to the back. What type of mufflers did you use and did you use and cat's? Im going to assume that yours was a complete custom job?

Um custom right. Does my welder and some tubing count as custom? LOL. No i dont have cats. I just got a set of resonators to stop it from cackling on before the x, and put a set of bullets on the end to quiet it down alittle after the x. It took 10 minutes for a mufler shop to bend some tubing for me with the template i made for them. Its 2.5". What info do you need specificly?

im mostly just seeing if it's possible right now. i have the stock exhaust from SLP without the cat on now and it makes that kackling sound and i hate it! I'm guessing that's why it does that? It sounds nice while idling but when i rev it up it just doesn't have that muscle sound i'm thinking of. maybe it's just the kackling that is ruining it? I bet the ride height is affected alittle too isn't it.

I had a bad cackle when I ran longtubes and a stock valvetrain... It went away with the big cam though... :)

A resonator will eliminate almost if not all the cackle.

I thought I saw somewhere that a company made a custom X pipe connector then into 2 exhaust pipes (same path as stock, just side by side) over the rear axle and out the back.

It mounted in place of the Factory Y-pipe and used their catback system.. I want to say Bassani.....

I have true duals on mine. First they were dumped and sounded good, just loud as shit inside the car. Now they go all the way out the back, under axle. I don't like it. It sounds good but no ground clearance. Also with the TD's I've seen you can't run the TA that mounts to the floorpan. Which sucks. That's why i'm going back to single at least 4" though. But if you want to go TD i did it dumped for right at $200. I bought the summit universal x-pipe kit and dynomax bullets. It was really easy.
