First off 93 was the first year they made the car, and there will be (and were) some glitches. So buying that year is asking for some problems (a 14 year old car)
Second it does not sound like you are giving it much of a chance or this forum for that matter as no one had had a chance to respond (and they are good at that). As well there are some very competant and qualified experts here (not me per say).
So, it sound like you need to make up your mind. Stick with rice, or build a 14 yr. old muscle car.
But do not rag on this forum, please. You only gave them an hour and a half late at night before you figured it out.

Us bitches, excuses me? I guess some of us have better things to do on the weekends then help out every panicking SOB on the board. But, we still try.

yea, i thought you knew all about eclipses and whatnot? auto and stick are all the same man. you have a stick in your poopra and eclipse you know about its pretty much the same thing in your bird, except not a transaxle like in the eclipse. but still. a tranny is a tranny they all have the same parts (all sticks and all autos i mean). quit your bitching and learn your car. i think you should buy a rebuild/tear down guide for it. every owner of any car should have a vehicle specific one in my opinion. that way you can troubleshoot and fix it yourself WITHOUT the "emergency" calls.

Not trying to hate on the 93, they were the showcars that made us all want one:drool: . I had a 93Z and drove it all over. But it did give me my share of trips to the mechanic wether for normal wear and tear or for Darn blasted #$%&^* car.
Back then an item like the waterpumps were not available remaned and they cost $253!!! (a gen 1 pump was $26) Now with plenty available prices are more reasonable.

Yeah it always sucks when a car manufacturer changes a vehicle body style, like the vettes or f-bodies. My dad didnt' buy the new 07 style pickup for that reason. He just went with a 07 classic. It makes sense... you want to give it a year or so to work out the bugs

ahhhh thats a very true statement CKJ but im sure you know chevrolet has been using the ls7 in the vette for years but it hasnt been offered to the public but in all the european races that has been their engine for atleast 5 years
;)
btw
you could put 16 turbos on a ricer with 30 overhead cams and make it run low 2's and it would
never
ever
ever
be badass american muscle
