i got in a wreck yesterday. it was totally his fault. i was in the righthand lane of a road when a guy pulled out of a sidestreet into my passenger door and rear quarter. looks like i need a new door, rear quarter adn maybe door jamb. the body looks fine. it didn't even **** up my rim:(

and his piece of shit. he said it had died out on him and he had pulled into the side road to restart it. he hit me when pulling back out. he must of not looked at all cause a big ass bright red sportscar with nothing blockin the view is hard to miss

i talked to the insurance ppl and had them give me an initial estimate. bascially i have to go to a body shop and get a real more realistic estimate. can u believe they want to try to get me to use a used rear quarter panel? how the hell do u do that?

im takin it tomorrow to my bodyman for him to start on it. he knows his shit and has all the right equipment. if it doesn't come out to my satisfaction(not because of a shitty job, but cause only so much can be done), then im sellin it and gettin a RX7 for a LS1 swap

Always a good option. There are plenty of people that will buy it just for the shell, then
you can keep your motor and transmission. I like the RX7's too. :thumb:

i probably would sell the engine and trans, or at least the trans with the car and find another engine/trans on the internet. it really depends on how the repair turns out. i do miss my car already though. comfy seats and a cd player especially

Another option might be to get a '98-'00 vette. I took my friend for a ride that owns a T/A whom never rode in a vette yet. He told me "damn this thing is comfortable". :grin2:

Got the car back about an hr ago. im so happy. i will have to go back on monday to get the passenger door adjusted a bit, its hard to close. while they had it, i got them to take off the door mouldings and paint the rear bumper CETA style. Light outside is bad, so no pics yet, but ill get some soon. now i got to get my rear worked on, i have a bearing that is probably beyond shot, but thats another thread.
