We have locked in the location, time, and raffle info.
October 1st, 10am-3pm, McDonalds at 22nd and Spring in Oak Brook. We are asking for some basic info so we can number your cars for the show voting and find you if we need you during the show. I received two $50.00 gift certs to a local Italian restaurant today to add to the raffle prizes. Here is a link to the entry form (http://www.obfop213.com/enter.htm). I don't need the forms until October 1st, but I would like a rough idea of who is coming so feel free to post up or e-mail me. I hope the $15.00 is cool by all of you. It's for a great cause. I think the cruise at 3 PM will be worth $15.00, or more like $75.00 ;) if it goes as planned. :cheers:

Help me spread the word on this gang, it's for a great cause and it provides a good reason to get together for a few hours and show off our cars. I just got confirmation that we will have a live band for a couple hours. Check out their web site. (http://www.beachbumband.com)
Door prizes so far include:
Exterior detailing gift certificate;
$50.00 gift certificates for Via Bella in LaGrange (http://www.viabellaviabella.com/);
Car wash gift certificates for Fullers Car Wash (http://www.fullerscarwash.com/);
LOTS of care care and detailing items;
Titleist (http://www.titleist.com) golf balls;
Franklin Mint 1969 Stingray Stars And Stripes Die Cast Corvette (http://www.franklinmint.com/product1.aspx?SID=2&Product_ID=134&Category_ID=29) new in box;
LOTS of crafting and scrapbooking supplies from Artistic Wire (http://www.artisticwire.com/about.htm);
Much more that I am not thinking of right now, and we are still seeking more donated items as well.
Click here for the entry form (http://www.obfop213.com/enter.htm) and come on out on October 1st !

Neal knows lots of people up that way. He may be able to get a half dozen or so people to go.

I don't know any corvette people sadly. i've tried to get involved with the north shore corvette club but they seem to be a bunch of tools with 3 dollar web page. i don't think this would be sean and his gang's cup of tea either :grin2:

Raffle license denied! Oak Brook doesn't allow public outdoor sales of raffle tickets. All raffles are to be held indoors and as part of private functions. In addition, we just learned that we cannot use the location that was previously approved.
Car show cancelled. Raffle prizes collected will be given to KIN to use at future events.
Anyone wanna hang out or cruise on October 1st? Maybe a starved rock cruise from D&B ?

Wow, that's just crazy. I've noticed small town and cities have some weird rules/laws.
