C5 fuel rail covers DONE!

special thanks to neal (stoleit) for the idea for these

total cost/materials used/process:

-1 set 97 corvette FRCs- free
-sanded red paint out of "corvette" as well as the whole cover
-body filler to fill in "corvette"- free
-sanded body filler down so it was smooth
-2 coats of high build primer- free
-2 coats of BMW imola red paint- free
-sanded paint and primer off the lines and "5.7 L" to expose black plastic
-2 GTO crest decals- free
-2 coats clear- free

total cost- $9712731284361 in gas to go back and forth from where i painted them

i want to paint it silver but i cant afford to have the car not running for a couple days while i paint it. and getting another LS6 intake is too costly... unless you wanna find me one for free :grin2: :grin2:

looks good! buy an ls1 intake for like 4 bucks, slap it on, paint the ls6, then toss the ls1.
