Honestly, do SFCs first. Might as well get them out of the way.

When I get my next LT1, the opening mod barrage will be:
- Magnaflow/Hooker catback
- Cutout
- SFCs
- Short shifter & stick

either the sfc or the converter, a friend of mine just put a cam in is 97 LT1 and already twised the body, when you open the passenger door, it drops a good 1.5", after seeing that im looking into some sfcs

SFC's?

I still don't have them on my car...and don't think a 4th gen really honestly needs them. Now if you've ever owned a 3rd gen you understand the need for them on those cars.

SFC's just add weight and aren't going to give you anything that puts a smile on your face. I say they can wait.

I'd do your mods in this order:

SFC
TC
LCA's
Gears
STB

SFC's make it so we can actaully take our t tops out after a few hard launches down the track;) i know a few that waited to long and they might as well call their t top cars hardtops:-P

they do help keep the car from twisting;) for 125-150bucks they do help, but they will make the car ride rough lol

for ls1's anyway i know you need them.. if you do all the bolt ons and dont have those 1-2 suspension parts, then well.. the car is gonna wrinkle up

now for the other suspension bs crap, im not a believer in.. i still have stock shocks LMAO

Well my car is a hardtop.

Doesn't matter, they're built with the same structural rigidity that the t-top cars are.

did you read my post, not only is the door off, theres a big gap where the t-top seals at, water just pours in when it rains now

I put frame connectors the kind that come across the car in the center, and are welded to the rockers under the doors, now when I jack the car up in the front the back wheel comes off the ground.

SFC's 1st without a doubt. My buddies car (00 Z) is a hardtop also and has heads/cam/spray/TC and gears. He went to put (weld on front & rear) SFC's on the car. Left side barely lined up. right side required a 1/4-3/8 wide steel spacer at the rear due to the car being twisted from racing. If the engine is healthy (read: tons o' torque) and you drag race it it will twist into a pretzel eventually.

If you're planning on getting a cage of any sort in the next year or two, lay off on the SFC's. I don't have anything right now and my body's fine cutting 1.70 60's. Maybe the guy with the twisted body's car was in a wreck at one point?

I'd go with these mods:
1. TC
2. adj. torque arm
3. LCA's
4. gears
