"I talked to a GM Rep today and was inquiring about more technical detailed info on the crate motor. They will have to get back with me tomorrow about my questions, however, when I asked if they could confirm the rumored $19K list price of the crate motor the answer was "we should have formal pricing available within the next few days and it should be in the range of $3K less than that number and only authorized Performance Parts Dealers will be getting them due to limited supply. They could be knocking off somewhere near $5K off of the yet to be announced list price."
"The only bad news so far was that the ZO6 specific dry sump reservoir and associated connecting lines will not be part of the crate motor deal in an effort to keep the price down The intent is for the buyers to use an after market reservoir. They are trying to ensure that it has the proper fittings to the pan available with the crate motor."
