They don't have much of a sense of humour either....by "they" I mean the moderators.
Either that or I'm really bad, they are moderating all of my posts for a couple of admittedly off colour pics. Of the last 2 threads and 5 or 6 posts that I have posted only one post has passed their scutiny to be posted and they were not bad by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm a bit tired of being treated like a child, especially since one of my threads was an apology for posting the pics, (they were just funny pics), and it didn't even get through their moderation. .

Yes, that forum does have it limits and thresholds. Mainly it's due to trying to keep everyone happy, yet at the same time, they are limiting themselves.

Hahaha...good sense of humor. A little risky but in the context with proper usage, I see no issues.

Corvette Forum sucks... :grin2:
After 2 weeks I was still under moderation and none of my posts or threads were going up so I pm'ed "savewave", the mod who put me under moderation, and he said that my posts and threads were critical of CF  ....one in peticular was an apology to the members for posting the admittedly off colour pics, how is that critical? The other posts and threads were not critical of CF either.
I had my name removed as a member from that board. They really need to grow a sense of humour in that site.
I'm considering contacting the admins and having them reveiw my posts and threads to see if they agree, any advise?

Their idea is to keep the forum clean as to not impose on any 1 persons feelings or beliefs. It is an adult oriented forum and I honestly cannot imagine anyone under 30 owning a Corvette. I know of 1 personally but he worked his ass off for it. However, we all know that people, no matter what age, can show their true self on a forum. Some people are very offended by minor things. Although this may seem trivial to some, it is a big deal to others. Again, their idea is to keep everyone happy. By attempting to keep everyone happy they "think" they are keeping the sponsors happy. Keeping the sponsors happy keeps the money flowing.
Money is what makes the world "go 'round" and it is certainly NOT an exception for car forums.
My advice: join a forum that doesn't mind the lighter side of life....it looks like you made the correct decision.

Good points and I believe that you are correct.
CF has a local forum for me, "Canadian Events", that was the main reason for my membership.
There are other boards with local guys and events. :grin2:
I would like to say that this board is on its way to a great things and I am looking forward to being here while it matures and grows into something great.
Thanks for the advise.

Thank you for the compliments. We are just 7 months young and I think well on our way. I made this forum for the soul purpose of helping others and not geared toward making money...having fun and enjoying cars. I don't think we can say that about 95% of the "other" forums out there. Besides, who else gives away FREE stuff? Right now, I can't think of 1 forum that is giving away something.
Wait, Comp Cams has a banner on 'tech giving away something...but I don't think that qualifies as 'tech giving away something.
