Amoung the 9 - '82 Camaro. Actually, they extended it to all 3rd gen f-bodies. Cheap, plentiful, good-looking, good aftermarket support, respond well to modifications, handle well.

What can you say, we're "desireable".

You just can't beat a 3rd gen in terms of affordability , dependability or finding a good , clean used one. They have their quirks like any other car but they are great for getting started in the F-body world.

I am a thind gen guy but around my parts, you can get an early LT1 Camaro for much cheaper than a nice clean L98 Camaro.

yea its easier to find a good lt1 than a good tpi car around here. the thirdgens are all trash mostly or possibly a RS in decent shape. BUT in terms of buying a car that is all aroud good with intentions of dropping a budget 350hp 350 into you cant beat the thirdgen. and i personally think their body lines look awesome
