I havent done a whole lot of these, but i figured every little bit helps. So post up your reductions...this includes EGR, AIR, Sway Bar, seats and whatever else. Trying to generate some ideas for when I go to the track.

headers and a y are a HUGE weight reduction. the stock shit is HEAVY as hell. i bet i lost 30lbs with the headers, not counting the extra power. the spare tire and jack. there was a tread hon 'tech that the colonel posted with basically every weight reduction possible and the savings of each one. http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17319&highlight=weight+reduction

Yeah i have seen his thread. A little dramatic...maybe not if you want a stripped drag car. I was mainly looking for replies on the front sway bar. When removed this makes the front rise like crazy during a race if im not mistaken? supposedly its good for some time at the track. But what are the downsides...ie how bad is the body? Does it make the front end "jumpy" or "loose" at high speeds?

Well the sway bar takin off will lossin it up and allow the front to "flex".. On my jeep i did that for more flex when offroading..

the new powerwagon has a button or something that releases the swaybar

also if you wantedget a custom sway bar with quic disconects...I really dont see what kinda improvents you would get with this mod.. Just shitty road handling and twisting frame

Interesting. I was wondering what side effects this would have...kinda counter-acting the sfc's if u think about it.

i dont know anyone that has had results from taking out the front sway bar. i mean as long as ur not auto-xing its pointless anyway.
